I came across the EatingWell Tuna Melt before realizing I was allergic to Gluten. I immediatly saved the recipe after drooling over it a little big. I decided to throw together my own Tuna Melt, and this is indeed the LAZY version. I didn’t feel like going to the store for the extra ingrediants so I just dropped them. I also used the amazing powers of the Microwave over the Oven. Here’s the Link for the Original Recipe. Here’s my version.

In my Tuna…

  • 1 Can of Light Tuna.
  • 1/3 Deli Pickle. [Diced]
  • 2 Spoonful’s of Real Mayonnaise.
  • Salt.
  • Pepper.

Bread Choice…

Toppings…

  • Sprinkle on some Mexican Mix Cheese.
  • Tabasco Sauce.

How I made it..

  • First I put my slice of bread into the toaster and let it toast.
  • Second I throw together my tuna.
  • Third I spread some tuna on my toasted bread, and then add a little cheese on top.
  • Fourth put everything in the microwave for a few seconds. Just for the cheese to melt.
  • Fifth pour on some Tabasco and Enjoy.

It’s really yummy, and only takes a few minutes to make if your in a rush. That is if you already have some Gluten-Free bread ready. You can also do like the recipe says and add the extra ingrediants and toast it in the oven for a few minutes. Tossing it in the microwave does kinda soften the bread a little. I haven’t tried the extra ingrediants yet, but plan too. I’m out of tomatoes and need to restock some spices, thats why this has been dubbed the Lazy version.
